Re-mortgage and donate to charity

Adjusting to the new normal in pursuit of charity funding

fundUgive2 has announced the launch of their business and transformed the way an industry raises money for good causes.

fundUgive2 has created a powerful concept that reaches charities nationwide and one that commits the financial services industry to giving back to the community. fundUgive2 specialises in a free advice re-mortgage service which allows the customer to choose a charity to receive a 25% gross donation from any fees received from the lender at the completion of a transaction.

Peter Chard, Business Development Manager at fundUgive2 explains “Most corporate giving involves businesses linking with and fundraising for one or a handful of charities, what fundUgive2 has done is to put the choice of the receiving charity in the hands of the client.  Every time fundUgive2 successfully completes a re-mortgage, a charity close to the heart of the client receives the donation. This choice is surely great news for the client and charities countrywide.”

Neil Woodley, Head of Philanthropic and Partnership Development at Worldwide Cancer Research agreed “We are delighted to be working with fundUgive2 and its fundraising initiative. This simple idea could revolutionise the way the UK raises money for charities”

fundUgive2 saw the dark times of the on-going pandemic had significantly increased the demand on charities just as donations were critically shrinking, indeed The Charity Times recently published research showing public giving is at an all-time low.

However, it is generally considered that recent generations are more socially conscious than ever before and by adapting the approach to fundraising, businesses can reach out to the charities much in need themselves.

Jenny Howells, Senior Fundraiser at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Community acknowledged “fundraising has taken a real hit this year for many charities, so it is wonderful to see organisations like fundUgive2 giving something back. They are supporting many local charities -including Milton Keynes Hospital Charity – by donating 25% of any fees from lenders if you re-mortgage with their help. We would like to thank the team for their community spirit!”

Edward Hodgkins, Group Head of Partnership Fundraising at Whizz-Kidz commented “For Whizz-Kidz, the young wheelchair users we support are facing even greater risks of isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are working hard to reach them with the right equipment and support they need to give freedom, fun and independence in these challenging times.

It is amazing to have businesses like fundUgive2 who are giving back to charities like us, and creating new ways to bring together their workforce, clients and partners to have a huge impact for young wheelchair users.”
